Established in 2004, Grand Staircase Escalante Partners (GSEP) is a 501(c)3 non-profit and is dedicated to raising awareness and resources in support of the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument’s conservation, education and science/research programs.

GSEP’s goal is to sustain and promote conservation, education and science on the Monument and across its ecological and jurisdictional boundaries. In 2010 GSEP became a key partner of the Escalante River Watershed Partnership (ERWP).  ERWP collaborates with Federal and State agencies, universities, and other partner organizations on conservation, education and research projects on public and private lands within the greater landscape region of the Escalante River Watershed.  ERWP is committed to facilitating riparian river restoration, scientific research in the Escalante River Basin, and promoting community involvement in land and water conservation and education. GSEP acts as one of ERWP’s fiscal agents, engages volunteers in conservation and stewardship projects, and educates the public about the value and significance of the region’s resources
