We need your help!

The Coordinating Committee would like to thank each of you and your agency/organization for your ongoing commitment to the Escalante River Watershed Partnership and to ask you to consider making a financial contribution to allow the work of the partnership to continue.

Our partnership relies on the expertise that each organization and agency brings to the table, and the impact achieved on the ground would not be possible without your participation and investment.

It is because of this collaborative approach that ERWP has been able to accomplish so much in just over a decade. During this time, the partnership has supported the critical restoration and monitoring efforts in and around the watershed to address invasive species, restore native vegetation, improve wildlife habitats, monitor native fish and the health of the river, streams, creeks, and seeps, as well as to conduct plant and animal surveys essential to understanding and supporting the health of the watershed, and beyond. A key ingredient to this success has been having a neutral facilitator oversee the partnership-wide communications, collaboration, and keeping the group moving forward.

“EWRP has become a powerful nexus for people, from very different walks of life, to channel our energy toward a sustainable watershed.”

We need your help. Right now, we have limited partnership funding to retain the services of Southwest Decision Resources, our current facilitator and website manager. The total cost of their services for the next 12 months is projected to be $12,800, and we have raised $8,000 through contributions from the US Forest Service, National Parks Service, Bureau of Land Management, and RiversEdge West. Other partners such as Grand Staircase Escalante Partners and The Nature Conservancy have contributed thousands of dollars to cover the cost of meetings, bio-blitzes, and GIS services.

As a Coordinating Committee, we are reaching out to all of you to help us raise the necessary funds for our facilitation costs and the projected budgets for each of the committees. We are asking every partner organization, if possible, to contribute today by donating online here.

Our goal is to raise $5K for facilitation costs, and any funds raised in excess of that amount will be allocated to the general ERWP budget. Please feel free to share with other people or organizations who may be interested in supporting our collective work.

Thank you again for your partnership, participation, and ongoing investment in the health of the Escalante River Watershed.

Sincerely,

Sarah Bauman
