Russian olive Removal

 

 

This map shows our proposed treatment areas for Russian olive removal till the expected finish in 2018. You can click on the map to enlarge. As of 2015, there are only 19 river miles left plus the tributary of Harris Wash. We plan on finishing the project with the help of conservation corps, volunteers and ERWP staff.

 

 

 

 

Education and Outreach

The ERWP is very active in town events such as the Escalante Art Festival, Made in Escalante Fest, and Escalante Visitor Center Open Houses. We also have a presence in the local newspaper and a few national magazines. The ERWP also host many different volunteer groups from the Wilderness Volunteers to different colleges for an alternative spring break!
